Made Smarter East of England

ERP Implementation and Digital Transformation

The Chocolatier is currently undertaking a digital transformation project to implement a new ERP/MRP system to support the continued growth of the business and improve operational efficiency.

As the business has expanded, key operational functions such as production planning, inventory management, batch traceability, order processing, and reporting have been managed across multiple systems. The new ERP platform will integrate these functions into a single centralised system, allowing for better visibility of data, improved production planning, and stronger traceability across our manufacturing processes.

The objectives of this project include:

• Improving production scheduling and manufacturing efficiency
• Strengthening inventory and raw material management
• Enhancing batch traceability and compliance processes
• Reducing manual data handling and reliance on spreadsheets
• Providing clearer management data to support decision-making as the business grows

Once fully implemented, the system will allow us to operate more efficiently, respond more effectively to customer demand, and support the long-term scalability of the business.

The Chocolatier received a grant through the Made Smarter Adoption East of England Programme, funded by the Department for Business and Trade, administered by Norfolk County Council.
